The Global Somali Awards is the premier Global platform recognizing Somali excellence across business public service, arts, education, sports, and innovation. Established in 2022 by the Global Somali Coalition, the Awards are now in their third year; having honored over 80 leaders across five continents in Columbus, Ohio in 2024 and 2025, and Minnesota in 2026.
We do one thing: we find the people doing extraordinary work inside the Somali community and put them on a stage in front of the world. Every honoree is selected by an independent jury of eleven members, no outside influence, no politics, merit only
We honor the remarkable achievements of Somali individuals and organizations around the world, recognizing their innovation, leadership, resilience, and lasting contributions across diverse industries and communities.
By showcasing inspiring journeys and outstanding accomplishments, we strengthen the sense of pride, connection, and unity within the global Somali community while celebrating our shared heritage.
We inspire future generations by highlighting exceptional role models whose dedication, vision, and success encourage young Somalis to pursue excellence, leadership, and meaningful impact in every field.
