How it Works

The Global Somali Awards follows a transparent and detailed process to ensure every nomination is fairly considered. Here’s how the nomination process works:

Step 1: Nomination Submission

Nominations are open for a limited period, during which anyone can submit a nominee. Ensure you provide comprehensive details to support the nominee’s eligibility for the selected category.

Step 2: Initial Review

Once nominations close, our jury panel conducts an initial review to verify the eligibility of each nominee. The review focuses on the nominee’s achievements, relevance to the category, and overall impact.

Step 3: Jury Evaluation

After the initial review, the jury carries out an in-depth evaluation of all qualified nominees. Judges use a set of criteria, such as innovation, leadership, community impact, and sustainability, to assess each nominee’s accomplishments.

Step 4: Finalist Selection

Once the evaluation process is complete, a shortlist of finalists is created for each award category. The finalists are notified and invited to attend the Global Somali Awards Gala, where the winners will be announced.

Step 5: Announcement of Winners

Winners are revealed at the Global Somali Awards Gala in front of a live audience and receive recognition across various media platforms, solidifying their contribution to Somali excellence.
