Judging Standards
Our team adheres to over 10 key judging standards to ensure that all entries are evaluated consistently and objectively. Judges will focus on the following areas:
Structure and Clarity
The submission should be well-organized and clearly present the nominee’s achievements. Judges will look for a coherent structure that makes it easy to understand.
Presentation
The quality of the presentation matters. The submission should be compelling and persuasive, showcasing the nominee's impact in a way that stands out.
Relevance to the Category
Submissions should align with the chosen award category. The nominee’s contributions must directly relate to the category for which they are nominated.
Impact and Significance
Judges will evaluate the broader impact of the nominee’s work on their community, industry, or sector. Significant achievements and contributions
Innovation
Creativity and originality are important factors. Judges will look for instances where the nominee has demonstrated innovative thinking, new approaches, or breakthrough ideas in their work
Sustainability and Longevity
The long-term impact and sustainability of the nominee’s contributions will also be assessed. Judges will look for achievements
Leadership and Role Model Qualities
Entries that demonstrate the nominee’s leadership, influence, and ability to inspire others will be highly valued.
Community Engagement
Categories focused on social contributions, judges will look at how the nominee has engaged with and positively impacted their community.
Ethical Standards
The nominee’s work should uphold high ethical standards, contributing to positive, constructive progress in their field.
Relevance to Somali Community
While global achievements are recognized, judges will also assess how the nominee’s work contributes.
Confidentiality and Fairness
We understand the importance of confidentiality and discretion in the judging process. Our team ensures that:
- All Entries Remain Confidential: Information submitted is treated with the highest level of confidentiality. Only authorized personnel and the judging panel will have access to submission details.
- Equal Consideration: Every entry is given equal time and attention by our judging panel, ensuring that no nomination is overlooked.
- Impartiality: Our judges maintain strict impartiality throughout the process. Each entry is judged solely based on its merits, without any influence from external factors.
